Completed in 1922, it originally functioned as a nurses' home and as a nurses' training school, both associated with Harper Hospital. By 2015, the building was repurposed for hospital administrative offices. McLaughlin Hall was said to be the most beautiful and complete nurses' home in the U.S. It was donated to Harper Hospital by James Couzens, mayor of Detroit. The home is a memori
