Maurice Allan Marquet is a former field hockey player from New Zealand, who was a member of the national team that finished seventh at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. Marquet grew up in Christchurch and played hockey, always as a goalkeeper, for a variety of clubs. He moved to Auckland in 1976 and played for their provincial team. He first represented New Zealand in hockey in 1977. He was chosen to represent New Zealand at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow. Both he and his wife were te
