text: Mariannaea is a genus of fungi belonging to the family Nectriaceae. The genus has cosmopolitan distribution. The fungal genus was formally established by Samson (1974) to accommodate M. camptospora, M. elegans and the variety M. elegans var. punicea and was typified by M. elegans.
