Mara Clara is a Philippine television drama broadcast by ABS-CBN. The series is a remake of the 1992 Philippine television series of the same title. Directed by Jerome Chavez Pobocan and Claudio "Tots" Sanchez-Mariscal IV, it stars Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Montes. It aired on the network's Primetime Bida evening block from October 25, 2010, to June 3, 2011, replacing 1DOL and was replaced by Guns and Roses. The title is derived from María Clara, the mestiza heroine in Noli Me Tángere, a novel
