text: Manimajra State or now known as the Chandigarh State was a Sikh kingdom and later jagir (estate) based in the Manimajra area from 1765 to 1875. The area is in the present-day region of Chandigarh. The state had poor relations with Patiala and Nahan states, often warring with them.
