text: The Magny shaft is one of the main shafts of the Ronchamp colliery, located in the commune of Magny-Danigon, in the French department of Haute-Saône and the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region. With a depth of 694 meters, it was the deepest mine shaft in France when it was commissioned in 1878. It is also the Ronchamp shaft with the longest period of operation, at 80 years.
