text: Lymantria mathura, the rosy gypsy moth, is a species of moth of the family Erebidae found in the Russian Far East, Nepal, Japan, the Korean Peninsula, northern India and China. The species was first described by Frederic Moore in 1866. The wingspan is 40–50 mm for males and 70–90 mm for females. Larvae disperse through ballooning, covering greater distances compared to the Lymantria dispar and exhibiting high rates of settling. Larvae have also been recorded feeding on Terminalia, Shorea, Quercu
