Luz del Carmen Zasso Paoa is a Chilean engineer and politician of Rapa Nui descent, serving as the mayor of Easter Island between 2008 and 2012. Luz Zasso was born in Easter Island to parents Ambrosio Guillermo Zasso Leiva and María Raquel Paoa Huki. She received a degree in Construction engineering from the University of Viña del Mar. Since 2015, she has served as the General Manager of Sasipa, the company that distributes electricity to the island.
