Lucy Carrington Wertheim was an English gallery owner who founded the Twenties Group of "English artists in their twenties" in 1930 and was Christopher Wood's main patron before his death. Lucy Carrington Pearson married Mari Paul Johan Wertheim (1878–1952) in 1906. He was born in the Netherlands and became a British citizen in 1915. She, with her husband, ran galleries in London, Brighton and Derbyshire and was known for encouraging many young artists and sculptors. In the 1920s she bought many
