text: Lough Currane, also called Lough Leeagh, is a lake in County Kerry, Ireland. Waterville lies on its western bank, close to the Atlantic Ocean, it empties into Ballinskelligs Bay. The numerous townlands which lie on its southern bank, including Cappamore, Eightercua and Gortnamackanee, are collectively known as Glenmore. It covers an area of 2,500 acres (10 km2) and is 3.5 miles (5.6 km) long and 2 miles (3.2 km) at the widest point. The lake is notable for the Early Medieval monastery on Church
