Liubomyr Roman Vynar or Lubomyr Wynar was a Ukrainian-American scholar and historian. Wynar was born in Lwów, Poland and studied history at the Ludwig Maximilians University and the Ukrainian Free University in Munich. He then studied in the United States where he received a degree in archival studies and library science at the Western Reserve University in Cleveland. From 1969 to 1996, he taught at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio where he also founded and directed the Center for the Study o
