List of Monarchs that ruled the Kingdom of Manipur have been recorded in Court Chronicles of the Kings of Manipur. The Kingdom of Kangleipak with written constitution was established in 1110 CE by Loiyumba, ruler of Kangleipak State who incorporated most neighboring principalities. The Kangleipak kings expanded their territory, reaching their zenith under king Khagemba. In 1714, a king named Pamheiba adopted Hinduism. He adopted the name Gharib Nawaz, and in 1724 renamed the kingdom as Manipur.
