The Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) is an Australian sports stadium located in Melbourne. It was established in 1854 and has a capacity of approximately 100,000. The MCG was the scene of the first ever Test match, which was played in 1877 between Australia and England. The ground also hosted the first One Day International (ODI), which took place in 1971 between Australia and England. Charles Bannerman became the first Test centurion at the ground when he made 165 not out against England in 1877.
