Leslie William "Toots" Tietje was an American professional baseball pitcher with the Chicago White Sox and St. Louis Browns of Major League Baseball between 1933 and 1938. Tietje batted and threw right-handed. He was born in Sumner, Iowa. He broke into professional baseball in 1931, pitching for the Waterloo Hawks and going 8–13 with a 5.03 ERA. He spent 1932 with Waterloo, going 8–14, and hitting.212 with four home runs. In 1933, he spent most of the season with the Dallas Steers, going 14–10 w
