Laura Borràs i Castanyer is a Spanish philologist, academic and politician from Catalonia who was the President of the Parliament of Catalonia between 2021 and 2022, when she was suspended as member of the Parliament of Catalonia under allegations of corruption. Born in 1970 in Spain in the city of Barcelona, Borràs studied Catalan philology at the University of Barcelona (UB) before becoming an academic.
