Lakshmiswar Sinha was an Indian Esperantist and handicrafts teacher in Shantiniketan, Bengal. He was a disciple and friend of Tagore. Sent to Sweden in 1928–29, he studied sloyd. In 1928, during a stay in Stockholm, he became an Esperantist and passed all SEI examinations. At the initiative of Ernfrid Malmgren in September 1929 he began a lecture tour. In Sweden he traveled over 10,000 km, gave more than 200 lectures to more than 30,000 people, and also twice on the radio. In autumn 1930 he tour
