text: Lakshmiswar Sinha was an Indian Esperantist and handicrafts teacher in Shantiniketan, Bengal. He was a disciple and friend of Tagore. Sent to Sweden in 1928–29, he studied sloyd. In 1928, during a stay in Stockholm, he became an Esperantist and passed all SEI examinations. At the initiative of Ernfrid Malmgren in September 1929 he began a lecture tour.
