Lafayette F. Cartee was an American pioneer surveyor and civil engineer who conducted the initial surveys of many areas of Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. He was also an Oregon state legislator, served two terms in Oregon's territorial legislature. This included one term as Speaker of the Oregon House of Representatives during the 1854 legislative session.
