The Route du Poisson is a sporting and competitive horse-driving event between Boulogne-sur-Mer and Paris in northern France. Created in 1991 thanks to the help of the national haras at Compiègne, this 24-hour competition of endurance is organized in September. It is open to draft horses who, traditionally, transported the fresh fish to Parisian markets before the opening of the railroads. Originally biennial, it became triennial starting in 2005.
