Kupari is a village in Croatia southeast of Dubrovnik and is part of the Župa dubrovačka area. It is connected to the D8 highway. Kupari is home to the Kupari Tourist Complex, a disused military tourist resort. Two Czech businessmen bought land in Kupari when it was just one old brick factory after World War I. In 1921, the Czechoslovak businessmen, with the state, founded the Grandhotel Kupari, which was to be a sea spa at the bay; it was completed in August 1923 with 166 rooms and 340 beds. Th
