On 6 August 2014, two 22-year-old British medical students - Aidan Brunger and Neil Dalton - were attacked and stabbed to death in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia, where they were completing a six-week placement caring for patients in a local hospital of Sarawak. The Royal Malaysia Police investigated the case and arrested five suspects. One of these suspects, a local fishmonger named Zulkipli Abdullah, was charged with the double murder, which made international headlines as crimes against tourists
