The Kilmorie house is a heritage home located at 21 Withrow Avenue in Ottawa, Ontario, the former home of one of the region's earliest settlers. The house was built circa 1840-1850 for farmer William Scott, who emigrated to Upper Canada in 1819 from Ireland. Kilmorie serves as a reminder of the area’s agricultural history. It is one of Ottawa's oldest surviving houses, built 13-23 years after the Bytown Museum building, the oldest surviving stone house in Ottawa In 1915, it was bought by the Poe
