Kameshkirsky District is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-seven in Penza Oblast, Russia. It is located in the southeast of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,270 square kilometers (490 sq mi). Its administrative center is the rural locality of Russky Kameshkir. Population: 12,802; 14,404 (2002 Census); 16,733 (1989 Soviet census). The population of Russky Kameshkir accounts for 41.9% of the district's total population.
