Kalikst von Morawski was a Polish chess master. Born in a village Boryszkowce (Боришківці), Galicia, he studied law in the Lviv University from 1877 to 1884. He moved to Stanislau in 1893, and lived there until 1914, working in the state treasure's office. Soon after World War I had broken out, he went to Vienna. In 1915, he came back to Stanislau, and then settled in Lemberg. After the war, he became an honorary president of the Lviv Chess Club. He died probably during the Soviet occupation of
