Joseph P. Buckley is the president of John E. Reid and Associates, an American company based in Chicago, which trains law enforcement and others in The Reid Technique of Interviewing and Interrogation. After a B.A. degree in English, Buckley met John E. Reid socially, and joined his company in 1971. He was an interviewer who had studied the detection of deception. In 1982 he succeeded John E. Reid as president. Buckley has trained people in the US government, including the US Office of Research
