text: James Jennings was an American basketball player, best known for his college career at Murray State University where he was the 1964 Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year and led the Racers to their first NCAA Tournament appearance. Jennings was born in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and at a young age his family moved to Dayton, Ohio.
