Jesús Fernández Santos was a Spanish novelist, short story writer, film critic, film director and documentarist. Born in Madrid, Fernández Santos studied philosophy and letters at the Complutense University of Madrid, and graduated in direction at the Instituto de Investigaciones y Experiencias Cinematográficas.
