text: Jerilderie is a small, rural town in the Riverina region of New South Wales, Australia. It is part of the Murrumbidgee Council Local Government Area. At the 2021 census, Jerilderie had a population of 922 people. It can be found along the Newell Highway 674 kilometres (419 mi) west-southwest of Sydney and 45 kilometres (28 mi) north of the Victorian state border. The town was raided by Ned Kelly and his gang between 6 February and 10 February 1879, in which the then Bank of Jerilderie was robbed
