Javed Ahmad Ghamidi is a Pakistani Islamic scholar and philosopher who is the founder of Al-Mawrid Institute of Islamic Sciences and its sister organisation Danish Sara. He is regarded as one of the most influential and popular philosophers of the modern era. He became a member of the Council of Islamic Ideology on 28 January 2006, where he remained for a couple of years.
