text: Jandar is a village in central Syria, administratively part of the Homs Governorate, located 30 kilometers south of Homs. Nearby localities include al-Qusayr to the west, Shamsin to the north, Dardaghan to the east and Hisyah to the south. According to the Syria Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Jandar had a population of 3,423 in the 2004 census. In 2008, Syria's first sugar refinery was built in Jandar.
