Janakanthy Mala is a former Sri Lankan international cricketer who represented the Sri Lankan national team between 2000 and 2008. She played as a right-arm off-spin bowler. Mala made her international debut at the 2000 Women's World Cup in New Zealand. She played in six out of her team's seven matches, but failed to take a wicket. She was aged 32 at the time, the oldest member of the Sri Lankan squad. After the World Cup, Mala next played at the One Day International (ODI) level in January 2002
