Jan B. Talbot is an American chemical engineer. She is a professor emerita at the Jacobs School of Engineering. She completed a bachelor and master of science in chemical engineering at Pennsylvania State University. From 1975 to 1981, Talbot was as a development engineer at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. She completed a Ph.D. in chemical engineering and materials science in 1986 from University of Minnesota. She joined the faculty at University of California, San Diego in 1986. She was the pres
