Jamuniya is a village development committee in Sarlahi District in the Janakpur Zone of south-eastern Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 5,399 people living in 914 individual households. Though there is no any documented evidence, but as per the villagers, the village was settled around 18th century by group of Gwalas (Yadav) migrated from Bansghatgonra.
