Jacek Mariusz Starościak ( was a Polish politician who was the mayor of Gdańsk from 1990 to 1991. From 1965 to 1971, he studied at the Faculty of Electronics at Gdańsk University of Technology. From 1971 to 1973, he was an employee of the Navigation Department of Gdynia Maritime University, and later he became an assistant professor at the Maritime Institute in Gdańsk.
