Jose Conceição Almeida was an IAS officer and Goa's Chief Secretary. He served as Goa's Chief Secretary of Goa, Daman and Diu, when Goa was a union territory. He served as first Chairman of the Goa Public Service Commission when Goa became a State in 1987. He was inducted into the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) from 01/01/1998.
