Istočno Novo Sarajevo is a municipality of the city of Istočno Sarajevo located in Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina. As of 2013, it has a population of 10,642 inhabitants. It was created from part of the pre-war municipality of Novo Sarajevo.
The municipality was formerly known as Srpsko Novo Sarajevo and is still informally known as Lukavica.
From 2012 till 2020, the mayor was Ljubiša Ćosić (SNSD).
On 27 June 2014, a statue to Gavrilo Princip was inaugurated in Lukavica. The city park w
