Irene Lusztig is a nonfiction filmmaker and artist. Her work explores historical memory, archival materials, communism and post-communism, as well as feminist historiography. Irene is a first generation Romanian-American who was born in England, raised in Boston and now lives in Santa Cruz, California. She completed her BA in filmmaking and Chinese Studies from Harvard university. Lusztig went on to complete her MFA in film and video at the Milton Avery Graduate School of the Arts at Bard Colleg
