The Indigenous Journalists Association is an organization dedicated to supporting Native Americans and other Indigenous peoples in journalism. The organization hosts the annual National Native Media Awards. The organization was founded as the Native American Journalists Association in 1983, launched from the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma. It incorporated as a nonprofit organization in 1986. Members voted to change the name to Indigenous Journalists Association in 2023.
