Ibrahim Jalo Waziri COS CFR was a teacher, administrator, traditional leader and politician from North Nigeria who was twice elected as the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Nigeria from 1960 to 1963 and 1963 until the 1966 Military coup in January. He is the first indigenous full term to be Speaker of House of Representatives of Nigeria twice elected during the time of independence, and was representing the Gombe Central, prior to that he served as the Deputy from 1959 to 1960.
