Hypatima mancipata is a moth in the family Gelechiidae. It was described by Edward Meyrick in 1913. It is found in Mpumalanga, South Africa. The wingspan is about 13 mm. The forewings are grey, irregularly sprinkled with whitish, with scattered marks of black irroration (sprinkles) and a black dot beneath the costa near the base. There is a small dark fuscous semi-oval spot on the costa at one-fourth, and another smaller beyond it. An elongate dark grey spot is found on the middle of the costa a
