Hypatima ammonura is a moth in the family Gelechiidae. It was described by Edward Meyrick in 1921. It is found in Australia, where it has been recorded from Queensland. The wingspan is 9–10 mm. The forewings are light fuscous, suffusedly irrorated (sprinkled) with whitish and with a small elongate spot of blackish irroration on the costa towards the base, suffused beneath with ochreous yellow. There is a similar larger spot on the costa before the middle, slight marks before and beyond this, and
