Two ships of the Royal Navy have borne the name HMS Malacca, after the region of Malacca, now in modern-day Malaysia: HMS Malacca (1809) was a 36-gun Apollo-class fifth rate, that the British East India Company built at Prince of Wales Island as Penang. She was renamed to Malacca before launch in 1810 but sailed to England as Penang. She was commissioned 1810 for the East Indies. She was broken up in 1816.
