Seven vessels of the Royal Navy have been named HMS Arab: HMS Arab (1795) was a 16-gun sloop-of-war, originally the French corvette Jean Bart, captured in 1795 in the English Channel by HMS Cerberus and HMS Santa Margarita, and wrecked in 1796.
HMS Arab (1797) was an 8-gun schooner, the former French Arabe, captured in 1797, renamed Ant in 1798, and sold in 1815.
