Legnano, an Italian municipality of the Metropolitan City of Milan in the Alto Milanese, has a recorded history from the first mention of the Legnarello district to the present day. During the Middle Ages, Legnano was the site of an important battle wherein the Lombard League defeated Frederick Barbarossa.
