Herman Henry Yeatman "Hal" Woolf was a British artist who died in police custody under disputed circumstances. His second ex-wife, Greta, campaigned for an official inquiry. The Government held an enquiry chaired by Norman Skelhorn QC, which was held in private. The final report was published in March 1964 and the evidence released to the UK National Archives in 1995. This inquiry led to changes in police procedure notably with regard to charging semi-conscious or unconscious suspects. This case
