Henri-François Élisabeth Étienne Dumolard-Orcel, better known as Henri-François Dumolard was an early 19th-century French playwright. The son of a judge, he lost his father aged fifteen and in order to make a living, to go to school and to help his mother, accepted a position of copyist. He became secretary general of the police administration (1789-1790) and a lawyer (1796).
