Hedeoma is a genus of flowering plants in the mint family, Lamiaceae. It is native to North and South America. They are commonly known as false pennyroyals. The genus name is derived from the Greek words ἡδύς (hedys), meaning "sweet," and ὀσμή (osme), meaning "odour". It refers to the scent of the leaves. Hedeoma patens M.E.
