Hector d'Andigné de Grandfontaine was a French naval officer who served as the governor of Acadia from 1670 to 1673. Grandfontaine was baptised in France and became a Knight of Malta. He was captain of a company in Quebec in 1665 and participated in a military campaign against the Mohawk people. He was appointed governor of Acadia in 1670 after the region was returned to French governance by the British.
