HD 96167 is a double star system with an exoplanetary companion in the southern constellation of Crater. The apparent visual magnitude of this system is 8.09, which is too faint to be readily visible to the naked eye. It is located at a distance of approximately 279 light years from the Sun based on parallax, and is drifting further away with a radial velocity of +12 km/s. The primary component, designated HD 96167 A, is an ordinary G-type main-sequence star with a stellar classification of G5V.
