Until 1 January 2007 Hashøj Municipality was a municipality in the former West Zealand County, on southwest Zealand, in eastern Denmark. The municipality covered an area of 130.75 km2, and had a total population of 6,681 (2006). Its last mayor was Troels Christensen, a member of the Venstre party. Hashøj Municipality bordered Skælskør Municipality to the south, Korsør Municipality to the west, Slagelse Municipality to the north, Sorø Municipality to the northeast and Fuglebjerg Municipality to t
