Hamilton Central was the name of a now-defunct railway station on the East Coast Main Trunk line which runs through the city of Hamilton in the Waikato region of New Zealand. The station was located in Hamilton's CBD and was made an underground station for the latter years of its existence before being closed. The underground platform still exists. For most of the time since a station opened on the site in 1879, it was named Hamilton. It had closed to regular passenger services when the present
